Authorizations
With this feature, any Clevergy user can authorize another user to access the information of one of their homes within the app. This makes it easier to share energy data with employees, family members or any trusted person.
How it works
- A primary user can authorize another user to view the information of a home within the app.
- If the primary user has multiple homes, they can choose which ones to grant access to.
- The authorized user will be able to see all the information of the assigned home within the app.
Important considerations
- If the authorized user does not have an existing Clevergy account, one will be created automatically, and they will receive a welcome email. This email will include a link to download the app and a magic link for easy login.
- An authorized user cannot authorize a third user. Only the primary user has the ability to manage authorizations.
- The primary user can revoke authorization at any time. Once revoked, the authorized user will no longer have access to the home's information.
How do I authorize another user?
To authorize another user, follow these steps:
- Access the Profile tab in the app.
- Select Shared Access.
- Select the home you want to authorize and click on Grant access to another person.
- Enter the email of the person you want to authorize and accept the terms. When finished, click on Create shared access.
- If the user has an account, they will immediately be able to see your home’s information. If the user does not have an account, they will receive a welcome email with instructions.
