The Convert kWh to Euros functionality allows your end users to visualize their energy consumption (kWh) converted to monetary costs (€) in real time. This feature helps users understand their energy expenses, identify consumption patterns, and make informed decisions about their energy usage.

The functionality converts energy consumption data into euros based on the user's configured energy contract, providing real-time financial insights into their energy usage.

Requirements​

To ensure the euros functionality works correctly for your users, you must configure:

  • Hourly consumption data: Users need hourly consumption data which is provided by:
  • Huawei OAuth Integration: Alternative integration method for Huawei devices
  • Configured energy contract: Users must have an active energy contract in the app with correctly configured prices
  • Price configuration: The following pricing information must be set up:
    • Contracted power
    • Price per kWh of energy
    • Applicable taxes
    • Other fixed costs

  • Cumulative Consumption: Users can visualize their total consumption in euros by periods
  • Energy Chart: Users can see the evolution of their expenses in euros over time
  • Consumption Breakdown: Users can analyze what part of their bill corresponds to each type of expense
  • Solar Summary: Users can calculate savings in euros thanks to their solar installation

Modules that do NOT include Euros​

Some modules don't include the euros functionality for the following reasons:

  • House Comparison: It's not possible to compare expenses without knowing all neighbors' rates
  • Modules already in Euros: Some modules already show monetary information directly
  • Real Time: Only shows power in kW, not accumulated consumption

How Euros are calculated​

The euros calculation is based on the energy billing formula:

Fixed Expenses​

  • Contracted power: Monthly cost for the power users have contracted
  • Power taxes: Taxes applicable to power
  • Other fixed costs: Fixed charges from the contract

Variable Expenses​

  • Energy consumption: kWh consumed * price per kWh
  • Energy taxes: Taxes applicable to consumption

Detailed Hourly Fixed Cost Formula​

Hourly Fixed Cost = (Contracted kW * Power Tariff) / 24 + (Equipment Rental / 24) + (Social Bonus Financing €/day / 24) + Power IE + Power VAT

- Power IE = [(Contracted kW * Power Tariff) / 24] * 5.113%
- Power VAT = Hourly Fixed Cost * 21%

The euros shown in the app are calculated in real-time based on the user's configured energy contract and actual consumption data. The calculation uses the same formula as the energy billing system, providing accurate financial insights into their energy usage.

Billing Period Considerations​

While the app shows data by hours, days, and months, actual bills may have irregular periods (28, 30, 31 days). The euros calculation in the app provides a precise breakdown of costs based on the configured contract terms.

Why don't the euros in the app match my users' bills?​

The euros shown in the app are calculated in real-time based on configured contract prices and actual consumption data. Any differences with actual bills are typically due to billing periods or specific contract terms that may vary from the standard calculation periods used in the app.

How do my users update their contract prices?​

No, you must update these prices in the portal or through an integration with their billing provider, such as Audinfor, Enexpa, or Gisce.

Can my users set custom spending limits?​

Yes, users can configure spending alerts by going to My profile → Alerts Settings, setting limits in euros for different periods, and receiving notifications when they exceed them.

Do the euros include all costs from my users' bills?​

Yes, the euros include energy consumption, contracted power, and taxes.
