Huawei integration

The Huawei integration allows administrators and users to monitor and manage inverter data through the platform.

note

When solar production, energy consumption or energy surplus data is downloaded from Huawei, it takes priority over data from any other connected inverter or grid meter (e.g., Datadis).

Setup from the portal

Installer credentials integration

Follow these steps to integrate the Huawei inverter using installer credentials:

  1. Log in to Fusion Solar.
  2. Navigate to More → System → Enterprise Management and select Northbound Management.
  3. Click Add to create a new API account.
  4. Complete the required fields:
    • Username: The name of your company followed by "api" (e.g., "Instaladora PJX api").
    • Password: Create a secure password for the API account.
    • Associated Account: A dropdown will appear. Select the account with Admin permissions.
    • Expiration Date: Select the maximum expiration date available (or the latest possible date).
  5. Select each of the installations you want to grant API access to.
  6. Enable the API monitoring access permissions.
  7. Confirm by clicking OK.
  8. Go to Settings → My Integrations.
  9. Click the Add Inverter button.
  10. Select Huawei brand.
  11. Fill in the following fields:
    • Name: Identifier for this integration in the portal (e.g. Production, Test).
    • Username and System Code: These credentials must be created in Fusion Solar by an Administrator account.

Once completed, your Huawei inverter is integrated. Data synchronization for installer credentials integrations is performed overnight. After completing the setup, data will be available in the portal the following day.

User credentials integration

Follow these steps to integrate a Huawei inverter using user credentials:

  1. In the Integrations section, administrators can configure the Huawei OAuth integration under the Inverters subsection.
  2. To enable this integration for end users, check in Settings → My Integrations if it is activated. If the integration does not appear, you can request its activation.

Once completed, your Huawei inverter is integrated and data will be available immediately in the portal.

Setup from the App

Only end users who meet the following requirements will be able to complete this process:

  • Have FusionSolar username and password.
  • Have owner permissions associated with their installation.

OAuth permissions must be configured in the portal before allowing end users to connect their plant through the app.

Steps:

  1. Go to More → Connections in the app.
  2. Tap on Huawei to start the connection process.
  3. On the Connect your installation screen, confirm the connection request.
  4. Log in to FusionSolar using your username and password.
  5. Authorize the integration by checking the required permission boxes.

Once authorized, your Huawei installation will be connected and ready for monitoring through the app.

Monitoring capabilities

Once integrated, you will have access to:

  • Real-time installation data
  • Energy production and consumption
  • Production and consumption graphs
  • System alerts and installation status
  • Battery monitoring and management (if applicable)

Battery behaviour

Battery charge and discharge actions are time-bound; once the specified duration ends, the inverter automatically reverts to the previous operating mode or its default configuration.
