We have developed a new feature that allows users to access all their energy provider and account data directly through WhatsApp.
Whatever users can view in the mobile app can now be consulted conversationally via chat. The only prerequisite is that the user's phone number is correctly associated with their account.
To query data via WhatsApp, the user's phone number must be associated with their account in the client's ERP or CRM, which is synchronized into Clevergy.
How it works
Clevergy is already integrated with the client's ERP/CRM, keeping all customer contracts, phone numbers, and energy data continuously synchronized in Clevergy.
- Phone Number Matching: When a user sends a query on WhatsApp, the service identifies the user by matching their phone number.
- Data Query: Data (consumption, invoices, supply points, tickets) is fetched directly from Clevergy.
- Instant Answer: The requested information is formatted and delivered back to the user via WhatsApp.
Workflow
What you can do via WhatsApp
Through WhatsApp, users can:
- Check energy consumption: Retrieve consumption data and get explanations on how it evolved over a specific period.
- View home information: Access details about registered properties, such as address or CUPS (supply point ID).
- Understand invoices: View invoice amounts, dates, and detailed cost breakdowns.
- Open and check support tickets: Create new support tickets or track the status of existing ones.
- Analyze electricity or gas bills: Send a photo or PDF bill to automatically extract key details explained simply.
What is not available via WhatsApp
Currently, WhatsApp does not allow:
- Analyzing non-bill documents: Processing documents other than electricity or gas bills.
- Performing account management: Modifying personal data, changing contracts, managing service activations/cancellations, or processing payments.
- Financial or legal advice: Offering financial or legal consultations.
- Device control: Controlling smart devices or making physical changes to electrical installations.
- Unrelated queries: Answering questions outside energy, properties, invoices, or support.
Mobile App Redirection
When a user requests a action that is not available on WhatsApp but is supported in the mobile app (such as modifying personal details or making payments), WhatsApp automatically provides download links to the client's mobile application.
The links below are default examples (Ecogrid). In each client implementation, they are configured with the client's own branded app download links:
- iOS (App Store): https://apps.apple.com/es/app/ecogrid/id6470205864
- Android (Google Play): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ecogrid.clever.gy
