Roles and permissions
Every user with access to the Clevergy Portal has a role, which decides what they can do once they log in. There are three preset access levels, designed to fit the way most teams are organized, so you can decide who can do what.
All three roles can browse the same workspaces and see the same information about your users, installations and contracts. The difference is what each one is allowed to change. The only section that is not visible to everyone is the API key, reserved for Admins.
User
Limited access, designed for the day-to-day work of support and customer teams.
- Manage support tickets, sales opportunities and communications.
- Review and resolve maintenance alerts.
- See all the information about users, houses, contracts and installations, without being able to modify it.
Manager
A higher level of access, intended for the configuration and management work of an operations team.
- Everything a User can do.
- Create, edit and delete users, houses, contracts, invoices and installations.
- Configure integrations, tariffs and energy communities.
Admin
Full access to every workspace, all data and all settings. Intended for whoever owns the project inside your organization.
- Everything a Manager can do.
- Manage who has access to the portal: add users, change their role and remove their access.
- Reveal and regenerate the API key.
Permissions summary

Assigning a role
Roles are assigned when a user is added to the portal, and can be changed at any time afterwards from Access control.
If a user tries to open a page or use an action their role does not allow, the portal simply does not offer it: the affected buttons and sections are not displayed.
Nobody can change their own role or delete their own account, whatever their role is. Another Admin has to do it for them.
Only Admins can manage portal access. If no one in your organization holds the Admin role, roles can no longer be changed from the portal and you will need to contact Clevergy to restore access.
