Huawei integration

This table shows which data and features are available for each Huawei inverter integration method.

When Huawei measures solar or energy grid:

  • If another inverter or grid meter is connected (e.g. Datadis), Huawei data takes priority.

Setup from the portal

API integration

Follow these steps to integrate the Huawei inverter via API, using the installer's credentials:

  1. Go to Settings → My Integrations.
  2. Click the Add Inverter button.
  3. Select the Huawei brand.
  4. Fill in the following fields:
    • Name: A descriptive name to identify the inverter.
    • Username and System Code: These credentials must be created in Fusion Solar by an Administrator account.

How to obtain username and system code:

  • Log in to Fusion Solar.
  • Navigate to More → System → Enterprise Management.
  • Select Northbound Management.
  • Click Add to create an API account.
  • Complete the required fields:
    • Username: The name of your company followed by "api" (e.g., "Instaladora PJX api").
    • Password
    • Associated Account: A dropdown will appear. Select the account with "Admin" permissions.
    • Expiration Date: The furthest possible date.
  • Assign all installations and grant API access permissions.
  • Confirm by clicking OK.
  • Finally, enter the Username and System Code obtained in Fusion Solar into the portal fields and save.
  1. Your Huawei inverter integration via API is now ready to use.

OAuth integration

Follow these steps to integrate the Huawei inverter with OAuth, allowing users to add their own credentials:

  • From the Integrations section, administrators can configure the Huawei OAuth integration in the Inverters section.
  • To enable this integration for your users, check in Settings if it is activated. If the integration doesn't appear, you can request activation.

Creating an owner-type user in Huawei's FusionSolar system:

  1. Log in to the FusionSolar Web Portal with an account that has the necessary permissions (usually a Company Administrator or Installer).
  2. Navigate to System → Company Management.
  3. Select the relevant company or subsidiary from the navigation tree and click Add user.
  4. Enter the new user's information: name, email, and mobile number. Click Next.
  5. Assign the Owner role and proceed by clicking Next.
  6. Associate the plant(s) the Owner will access by moving them to the user's account using the blue arrow button.
  7. Review the information and click Confirm to create the Owner account.

The new Owner will receive an email with login credentials to access FusionSolar. For more details, consult the FusionSolar Web Portal user management documentation.

Setup from the App

To set up your Huawei installation in the app, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Profile → Connections in the app.
  2. Click on Huawei to start the connection process.

A screen to Connect your installation will appear. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Fusion Solar using your username and password.
  2. Authorize the integration by checking the required permission boxes.

Once authorized, your Huawei inverter will be connected and ready to monitor from the app.
